Jean-Michel J. Gabet, Ph.D., Founder and President

Dr. Gabet has a wide experience as Executive, Consultant and Entrepreneur in the high technology field, including: CEO and president of CRI, Inc., a privately owned data base software company; General Manager of a software company specialized in transaction processing; founder and Chairman of Cosma Int'l Corp., an international consulting and sales firm based in California and Brussels; consultant in market/product strategy for corporations in the US, Europe and Japan; Vice President for Development (combining Engineering and Marketing) of a publicly traded LAN communication company; Vice President and Director of Gnostic Concept, Inc., a research firm specialized in assessing markets for emerging technologies for the benefits of its clients, primarily large technology companies and high-tech startups; and Engineering Manager at Hewlett-Packard (Computer Division).

Dr. Gabet's formal education includes: a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, an MS degree in Physics, and a BS degree in Mathematics, all from the University of Paris, France; and graduate studies in Business Administration. Dr. Gabet is fluent in three languages.

Dean M. Simonich, Co-founder, Vice President Operations

Mr. Simonich has extensive experience as an executive and consultant in market evaluation, program design, implementation, operations and corporate management, as well as in regulatory and legislative affairs. As Executive Vice President of a commercial laboratory Mr. Simonich made significant changes in marketing, sales and operations to turn around this firm in three years from an operating loss to profit. As Director of Marketing of a hospital he had responsibility for market analysis, marketing programs and implementation of new programs. He was also the CEO and Director of Market Evaluation and Program Implementation of regional regulatory and development commissions and charged with the responsibility of evaluating the need for new technologies and for development and implementation of new programs to meet both corporate and community requirements.
 
Mr. Simonich’s education includes an MS in Medical Physics from UCLA, a BS in biology from Santa Clara University and he has passed his exams for an MS in Health Planning at UCLA.

Thomas L. Pencek, Vice President Sales and Marketing

Tom Pencek brings more than 20 years of experience in sales, sales management, service development and marketing. Prior to joining Market Assessment International, Mr. Pencek worked as an independent marketing consultant in the high technology field. Previously he was employed at Silicon Graphics, Inc. with responsibility for the creation and management of service products (Global Services Sub-brand), and at Compaq Computers as manager of customer support services marketing. His experience also includes sales and sales management in the biomedical and biotech fields with Abbott Laboratories and Lilly Research Laboratories, among other companies. Mr. Pencek brings to MAI a real understanding of clients’ requirements and needs for efficient marketing solutions.
 
His academic background includes a Bachelor of Science, with formal training in Scientific Communication and in Business Administration.
